Ingredients:
for the base
- 8 coffee cups flour
- 4 cups of sugar
- 4 cups of milk
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- a sachet of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons rum or grated rind of lemon or orange
to cover
- 200 g of dark chocolate
- 18 tablespoons milk
- 250 g desiccated coconut grated
Procedure:
- In a large bowl, work sugar and oil with electric whips, for a few minutes.
- Add one egg at a time and continue working the dough. Gradually add flour, milk and baking powder. Continue to work to obtain a homogeneous mixture. After a greased and floured rectangular pan, pour the mixture inside and bake at 150 degrees for about 40 minutes.
- Once baked the cake, let it cool for her going to proceed with the creation of the pieces.
- Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or the microwave, with the addition of milk.
- Cut the cake into so many cubes, a dip in melted chocolate and then pass them in the grated coconut.
- Let cool and refrigerate in a container.
